dc.description.abstractFew corporate announcements have had the effect on entire academic disciplines that Eastman Kodak’s 2003 decision to stop manufacturing slide projectors had on Art History. The known world of sideby-side slide projection, large luminous images, well-organized institutional collections, last-minute lecture preparation, excellent commercial suppliers, and easy in-house production to support even the most specialized of topics seemed on the verge of sinking like Atlantis into a sea of unknown digital waters.en
