Assessing the impact of HANDS Intensive Trainings across diverse demographics using Autism Knowledge Survey-Revised (AKS-R) scores
(2024-05) Bondugula, Rithwik; Neal, Tiffany; Gottipati, Mounika; Swiezy, Naomi
The research aimed to assess the impact of HANDS Intensive Trainings across diverse demographics using Autism Knowledge Survey-Revised (AKS-R) scores. The study involved educators from various counties, focusing on enhancing their understanding and preparedness in handling individuals with ASD. Data was collected before and after the training sessions to measure improvements in teaching efficacy. The findings indicated a significant increase in educator efficacy, particularly among younger educators (ages 21-40), with a balanced benefit observed across genders. The analysis also revealed variable impacts across different counties, suggesting the influence of external factors. The study highlighted the importance of professional and ethical competencies, collaborative planning, and the use of data management tools like REDCap and Excel in improving educational outcomes for individuals with ASD.

FAIR Data for Large Research Facilities
(IEEE Explore, 2023) Brower, Don; Butcher, David; Murillo, Angela P.
This workshop will bring together data managers, repository managers, administrators, and others who are responsible for, or interested in research data management at large research facilities. These facilities have unique issues due to a variety of factors, such as an extreme data volume, variety, and velocity. The workshop aims to provide cross-pollination between facilities that have similar desires to realize the FAIR principles. The organizers of this workshop are members of the NSF CI Compass FAIR Data Working Group, and the outcomes from these discussions will become a white paper and topics for future CI Compass webinars.
