The known world of sideby-side slide projection, large luminous images, well-organized institutional collections, last-minute lecture preparation, excellent commercial suppliers, and easy in-house production to support even the most specialized of topics seemed on the verge of sinking like Atlantis into a sea of unknown digital waters.
