This study aims to identify the impact of individualism and collectivism in the development of internal capabilities and external networks of Technology Based Start-Up Firms (TBSF). We conducted a multiple case study, with multiple units of analysis. The data were collected through unstructured, in-depth interviews and via a semi-structured, questionnaire interview. The data analysis confirmed our assumption that in individualistic cultures it is easier for TBSF to develop internal capabilities than in collectivistic cultures. We also found that in collectivistic cultures is easier for TBSF to develop external networks than in individualistic cultures.en_US
