dc.description.abstractForeign aid is primarily a wealth transfer mechanism from rich, developed countries to poor, developing countries. Throughout the world, developing countries have received billions in aid to assist in their social welfare development and rise from poverty. Yet, there are still many in poverty. This paper examines the impact, if any, on social welfare development in the recipient countries because of foreign aid from donor countries.en_US
