Abstract
I will exhibit, together with several students, a research project sponsored by the Department of Defense. Venture funds were used for undergraduate student salaries and travel. We will demonstrate laboratory studies that determined the amount of vapor that is generated by an explosive and, hence, the amount of odor that is available to an explosives-detecting canine. The students will be available to explain the experiments as well as the results of a live test of several trained canines.
