dc.description.abstract | Public health officials throughout the world must develop policies to address emergency needs that will occur during an influenza epidemic. These same health officials must also address the many ethical implications that arise from making these decisions. In the Spring of 2008 the Survey Research Center at IUPUI (SRC) conducted a series of three surveys designed to better understand public and professional attitudes regarding preparedness for an influenza pandemic. The survey project was part of a larger initiative funded by the Indiana State Department of Health with funds from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This initiative was coordinated by the Indiana University Center for Bioethics under contract with the Indiana State Department of Health as a part of the project “Translating Ethics Advice into Practice: Public and Professional Outreach about Pandemic Influenza Planning in Indiana.” | en |
