dc.description.abstract | This research is a landscape scan of all women’s foundations and funds in the U.S. Women’s foundations and funds, which expressly award grants to programs and organizations benefiting women, have grown in number over the past five decades. Yet, there is a gap in knowledge about these organizations and their work to advance women and associated populations (girls, children, and families). Any significant research is now a decade old, even though these organizations continue to be active in the field of philanthropy. Women’s foundations and funds award millions in grants each year, as well as contribute resources and knowledge about the status of and issues facing women. | en_US |
