Abstract

Data on charitable contributions can be found in several sources, such as Deloitte, Giving Europe, and Statistics Norway. However, data on Norwegian cross-border giving has not been updated since 2013. Thus, the Kartlegging av markedet for fundraising (Mapping the market for fundraising) report published by Deloitte was included in the analysis. Norway’s government operates on a system of mutual trust, and philanthropic organizations (POs) tend to self-regulate, so reports on this area may not be published. However, Statistics Norway does collect nationwide data, including information on volunteering in the country.
