dc.description | Georgia Gives 2008 examines all sources of charitable giving and all types of recipients of that giving using the same framework that is used for the annual “yearbook of philanthropy,” Giving USA, which is published by Giving USA Foundation and researched and written by the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University. This study, one of the first of its kind, endeavors to explain the differences between the Atlanta Metropolitan Statistical Area and other parts of Georgia. Knowing who is giving, why they give, and where their gifts are going offers the Georgia community a view of the philanthropic landscape and provides a picture of the flow of resources in its philanthropic economy. | en_US |
