    Lockjaw could have killed her 80 years ago, but Riley saved her

    Before the days of routine tetanus vaccinations, Ollie Fisher injured her toe in her family’s garden as a 10-year-old in 1944. It got infected and she nearly died, but she recovered at Riley and went on to become a nurse.
