    Persuasive Technology: Beyond User's Needs
    (2014) Lee, Yoo Young
Even an extensive usability test may fail to uncover users’ needs because they may not know what they really want until it is visible to them. Moreover, what libraries should provide for their users may not always coincide with what users express in the usability testing. This presentation will introduce a new way of thinking about usability – persuasive technology – in order to give an engaging digital user experience to users as well as connect them with valuable library’s resources and services on the website. After this presentation, you are able to identify concepts and techniques of persuasive technology to provide better digital experience for your users as well as promote your resources and services at the same time.
