Item Integrating Technology into Effective Social Work Practice(2016-04) Walton, Betty A.Increasingly technology is being used to support effective social work practice. This seminar will explore a variety of ways in which information technology can help implement and sustain effective services. In combination with local organizational support and coaching, information technology can provide consistent training, certify basic competencies, help plan services, support supervision, and monitor progress. Multiple examples will illustrate meaningful uses of technology in practice settings. Participants will explore opportunities and implications for education and practice.Item A Review of Unsupervised Spectral Target Analysis for Hyperspectral Imagery(SpringerOpen, 2010-04-08) Chang, Chein-I; Jiao, Xiaoli; Wu, Chao-Cheng; Du, Yingzi; Chang, Mann-Li; Electrical and Computer Engineering, School of Engineering and TechnologyOne of great challenges in unsupervised hyperspectral target analysis is how to obtain desired knowledge in an unsupervised means directly from the data for image analysis. This paper provides a review of unsupervised target analysis by first addressing two fundamental issues, "what are material substances of interest, referred to as targets?" and "how can these targets be extracted from the data?" and then further developing least squares (LS)-based unsupervised algorithms for finding spectral targets for analysis. In order to validate and substantiate the proposed unsupervised hyperspectral target analysis, three applications in endmember extraction, target detection and linear spectral unmixing are considered where custom-designed synthetic images and real image scenes are used to conduct experiments.Item The State of E-Discovery as Social Media Goes Mobile(2015-09-18) Faklaris, Cori; Hook, Sara AnneElectronic discovery (e-discovery) is something that impacts everyone, whether they know if or not, because it deals with the proper collection, preservation, analysis and production of evidence in digital form. This presentation will concentrate on civil cases, but e-discovery is also important in criminal cases as well as other types of audits and investigations. For example, see Clark v. State, 915 N.E.2d 126 (2009) – an Indiana Supreme Court case. Electronic discovery is an especially important issue for anyone in the Informatics, Media Arts and IT industries.Item Wireless ICS Training Platform(2019-04-29) Cassandra Boman, Nick Pohlman; Lin, WilliamEssential public services, such as Electric, Water and Gas Utilities, are becoming increasingly reliant on network connected devices to control their processes. Wireless control systems are becoming more common in distributed systems, since they offer many advantages over hard wired alternatives. While cyber physical systems such as PLCs offer many advantages, they are also vulnerable to cyber-attacks. Military force readiness for defense of critical infrastructure against cyber-attacks requires state of the industry industrial control systems for cyber security training. A remote terminal unit using broad spectrum radio was integrated into an existing Water Treatment Plant SCADA system and provided to the US Army for training.
