Abstract
This report presents an overview of Indiana’s Behavioral Health and Human Services (BHHS) workforce. Drawing on data collected during the 2024 license renewal cycle, the report examines the demographic, educational, and professional characteristics of licensed BHHS professionals, including addiction counselors, social workers, marriage and family therapists, and mental health counselors. It also explores employment patterns, practice settings, populations served, and services provided across the state. The findings are intended to inform workforce planning, policy development, and efforts to improve access to behavioral health services in Indiana.
