Abstract
This is a detailed account and illustration of pedagogical uses of conscience sensitive fictional character analyses in the Medical Humanities and Health Studies concentration at Indiana University School of Medicine. This method meets the educational goals of familiarizing learners with the theory of conscience, the domains of conscience, and conscience sensitive inquiries that can be integrated into medical interviewing techniques and ethical deliberations. The illustration is drawn from the creative works, The Lyric of Lafracoth and Lafracoth Illumined both freely available in the Creative Works division of this Conscience Works website.
