Abstract

This report provides a comprehensive summary of Indiana’s 2022 licensed health workforce, integrating expanded supplemental information collected under SEA 223‑2018. It presents multi‑year active license trends (2017–2022) for all regulated health professions and supplies updated, detailed data for professions completing a full biennial cycle, including physicians, nurses, dentists, dental hygienists, behavioral health practitioners, psychologists, pharmacists, and additional licensed groups. The report includes metrics on education and training origins, specialties, practice settings, services provided, telehealth activity, Medicaid participation, populations served, and workforce development indicators such as future employment plans. Structured cross-profession tables allow comparative analysis of pipeline characteristics, practice distribution, and service capacity across Indiana’s health system.
