Abstract
A flyer promoting the presentation by Orna Tsultem titled "Buddhist Iconographies in Contemporary Art: Cases from Mongolia". This presentation examined the uses of Buddhist teachings, iconographies, and symbols in contemporary art in Mongolia. Through a comparative analysis with well-known contemporary Himalayan artists, the presentation introduced and analyzed specific works by some prominent Mongolian artists, such as B. Baatarzorig, B. Nomin, D. Soyolmaa and Ch. Baasanjav, whose art has been shown in exhibitions around the world.
