Item Data Services: Making it Happen(s4.goeshow.com/acrl/national/2013/profile.cfm?profile_name=download&handout_key=4C22E652-FFAD-40D8-91DB-846AA18F5702&xtemplate=1, 2013-04-12) Coates, Heather L.; Konkiel, Stacy; Witt, MichaelThe explosion of digital research data has created exciting opportunities for librarians to engage with faculty, staff, and students in their research processes. Advances in computing, sensor technologies, and communications are challenging researchers’ abilities to find, manage, utilize, visualize, and store data. Three librarians from public Universities will describe practical approaches for developing new services, collaborations, and content to meet these needs. Real-world examples and relevant issues will be posed for group discussion.Item Metrics Toolkit: an online evidence-based resource for navigating the research metrics landscape(Medical Library Association, 2018-10) Champieux, Robin; Coates, Heather L.; Konkiel, Stacy; Gutzman, Karen; University LibraryWhile research metrics may seem well established in the scholarly landscape, it can be challenging to understand how they should be used and how they are calculated. The Metrics Toolkit is an online evidence-based resource for researchers, librarians, evaluators, and administrators in their work to demonstrate or assess the impact of research.Item Tools and workflows for building a collaborative, library-based data management service(2013) Konkiel, Stacy; Snajdr, Eric; Marshall, BriannaAs the research data management “grand challenge” continues to vex universities, academic libraries have emerged as a key player in data preservation and accessibility. Our university has taken a highly decentralized approach to addressing researchers’ data management needs, one that has required much ad hoc, inter-campus collaboration between regional campus libraries and departments. This presentation will describe the common technologies, workflows, and cross-campus partnerships we have leveraged in order to build a cohesive, library-based data management service that meets the needs of all researchers, regardless of digital curation experience.
