The standards address ethics and integrity, corporate governance, efficient use of funds, results, true and fair accounting, transparency, accountability as well as fundraising and communication. Zewo is the primary entity that collects data on philanthropy in Switzerland (Zewo, 2020). Zewo certifies many foundations and nonprofit organizations with a Zewo seal, and original data on giving comes from the accounts of Zewo-certified organizations. Data is then extrapolated to represent the entire population of the country. Where its reports provide percentages of giving at the international level, this amount was taken from total giving by corporations, foundations, and individuals to obtain total cross-border giving by each category.en-UScross-bordertrackerswitzerlandCountry Report 2020: SwitzerlandTechnical Report
