Headquartered in the U.S., Lions Clubs International (LCI) is the world’s largest voluntary service-club organization with nearly 1.35 million members in 206 countries. Approximately 23 percent of all Lions clubs members are women, who now play an increasing role in the growth of LCI membership. Lions clubs members are a unique group not only within the U.S. but also in many other countries, identified through their commitment to the mission of LCI: “To empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding through Lions clubs.”en-USServiceLearningGivingCCS FundraisingLion's Club InternationalServing, Giving, and Leading Globally: Philanthropic Commitment in Lions Clubs InternationalPresentation
